There is something in the air today.

Tuesday, March 24th

There is something in the air today.

Some sort of electric excitement that floats about in the atmosphere within my apartment’s walls.

The way I see it, it could mean one of two things: either the madness (which comes inevitably from solitary confinement) has got to my brain, or I am beginning to feel some beacon of hope.

The latter seems far more desirable – so I choose to believe it.

Hence why everything looks a little bit brighter today, from the blue of my bed’s sheets to the words of the doctors on TV.

The cool late March air is honestly a relief.

When I woke up this morning, my dad said: “It snowed last night.”

And I thought that snow – bright and clean and pure and soft- snow must be a good omen. A sign that better times are ahead of us.

Snow will cover the empty lonesome streets and melt away to the sound of newly healed people strolling around, happy and thankful and carefree.
